reblog!
wow, what can i say! i stumble upon-ed this tonight and couldn’t be happier. TREOS was THE reason i wanted to (and subsequently DID) start a band and play shows in the local scene. these guys were unreal and influenced more kids than i bet they realize. check this stuff out and get going with it! I only wish i had my hard drive from like 2005ish with all this stuff as it was released! FAIL me for losing all my old music.

First let us answer a few FAQ’s:
Will “Sold Out” pre-order bundles be restocked? No.  Unfortunately we had a limited supply of each bundle and they sold much quicker than we had anticipated.  However, if it is of any consolation, we have attached a gift for you :)
When will pre-orders be shipped and when is the official release? The vinyl is being released November 9th, so theoretically the pre-orders will be shipped the week before.
Will the new song be available to those of us not purchasing the vinyl? There will be an i-tunes digital download available with the new song, new videos, new artwork and possible a copy of “Between the Heart and the Synapse” if there’s room.
Why don’t you release TESMFM on vinyl? We did in 2007
Also, thanks to Josh for THIS LINK TO DOWNLOAD OUR OLD EP!
*”Free Gift” link includes:

eastern iowa airport!

these people love college football! the midwest has been pretty cool i guess, cedar rapids was pretty desolate… they are still recovering from some huge flood a few years ago and the streets were pretty barren at night, not a whole lot going on. the city as a whole seems to be hidden or just really spread out- its supposed to have over 100K but who knows. checked out some jazz last night at the lighthouse, a very yuppy place and it was more like lounge music than true jazz… slight disappointmenti guess. today i worked at the downtown farmers market- thats really where the city came alive. probably around 10,000 people and hundreds of street vendors. i made the mistake of eating at the “wrong” breakfast burrito stand, my burrito smelled like hot dogs, not too enjoyable. the stand was called “big daddys dogs” and lacked quite a bit of punctuation. really gross overall. lots of produce being sold and lots of people just happy to be out and about on the gorgeous iowa morning.

would i come back to the midwest? probably not unless i had a really great reason. people were not overly interesting or overly nice as the midwest is kind of fabled to produce “kind, hospitable folk” i think the flood still has a lot of the city repressed and hurting from all the damage it did. perhaps i should look up the flood and try and get some real facts on it… regardless- i love the east coast and am excited to fly back… yes, even though im going to connecticut.

anyways, i am also continuing to study for my big test in a few weeks… totally unprepared but hopefully i can make some more improvements in the next few weeks and boost my score a bit.

currently reading “shutter island”, it is really great so far although i cant help but picture leo dicaprio in my head (sidenote: leo is starring in the scorcese adaptation of the novel, some of it filmed at borderland in sharon ma near my house! i am not just dreaming of leo on an island, i only do that before bed!) and i am totally stoked to hopefully finish most of it on my two flights this afternoon.

certainly looking forward to getting back home though, i recently got hired for full time at fieldstone and will celebrate this weekend with Kat and probably her friends as well as my brother.

in summation, iowa is not for me, get me home!

sincerely,

miguellie

some of my favs, its long but pretty great, yea this is really fan- like of me, but i dont really care! (compliments of anthony from bayside’s tumblr)

anyways, i just got back from a 2 hour drive after an entire day of warped tour in mansfield ma, here are my highs and lows with comments….

Highs: Bayside, Underoath, Saosin, A Day to Remember, Vanna, attackattack, senses fail, monty are i

Lows: millionaires, jeffree star, brokencyde

Comments on the Highs: bayside consistently impresses, underoath just rocked super hard, saosin (who i had never seen before) lacked some of the stage presence (multiple guitar swings etc.) that i was looking for but watching their drummer alex rodriguez play made up for any slight lack of rock ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kww8lCgMhcA see 1:19 esp.), a day to remember killed it with the biggest crowd and the claw, vanna threw down hard for the hometown and put on an incredible performance (another first timer for me), attackattack made this list strictly due to the novelty of their “crabcore” and “shred white and blue”, it was great to see senses fail again and monty tore down the ernie ball stage, they shouldve been spotlighted a little more- so talented.

Comments on the Lows: all the same basically, absolute jokes. biggest group of talentless loosers i’ve ever seen, had to walk as far away from their stages and fans as possible- how they can perform and play what they do and live with themselves is beyond my comprehension.

overall: A- (and thats with a mediocre lineup this year! lots of fun had.)

too tired… im out!

just saw jack’s mannequin @jonesbeach on LI, they didnt play this but they were pretty good live, but i’m also old school so my soCO love still beats out this new stuff… enjoyable nonetheless, and this cover is pretty rad.

these are two of my good friends, which one is more offensive?

trabajo

so i started work a few weeks ago in connecticut, and i like it. i get to sit on my computer for most of the day and throw together powerpoints, read nytimes articles, play with socialmedia sites for the company etc. AND im getting paid!

whats better is that i am just taking a vacation from the crazy day to day activities that have stretched me paper thin in the past, and focus on something new, i needed a change big time.

back to work: its casual (i forgot to put on shoes and wore red adidas sandals to work, NBD), and i can learn a lot here about what its like to run a successful small agency/ business.

i am getting a new phone next month, since im now in the real world, probably the curve… but who knows!
